Systems & Stories records aggregate page views to understand which articles are read and where readers arrive from.
For each view, we count the date, page and a broad source category, such as search, X, Threads or a direct visit. We do not store IP addresses, cookies, visitor IDs, full referral URLs or arbitrary tracking parameters in our analytics database. The site respects the browser’s Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals.
These counts measure page views, not unique people. Repeat visits may be counted again, and blocked measurement or automated requests may affect totals. The owner’s signed-in visits are excluded.
The hosting provider handles requests and, while the site is private, sign-in and access control. Its operational processing is separate from this publication’s aggregate analytics.
